Account Unlocking? - Guild Wars Forums

I was wondering if anyone could tell me roughly how long it will take for my account to be unlocked? I couldn't log in earlier so I logged into my NC Soft account and changed the password and now they have locked my account, I really want to log in just to check on my stuff but don't understand how anyone could have changed the password without me getting any emails.

they can do it just by obtaining your email, changing the password to gw/ncsoft, then deleting the messeges.

we cant and wont do anythign about, prepare for thread lock. contact anet support

Sounds like you did get hacked though. May not have been with NC this time but with the GW logon itself. Possible someone changed it after logging in and helped themselves to your account. Then you had to reset over at NC, anet realized beforehand though..that it got hacked so they locked it to protect your account from further damage.

The only way is not to wait, they aren't ever going to unlock it themselves......actually contact them and ask them to unlock it. You will need to have your account key(s) on hand to proove to them that you own the account and they will.

They will not reimburse anything, this includes characters, items, money, etc.

IF...and im not saying you did..but IF you have ever given login info to anyone else besides you...sorry but try to be more careful next time and trust NO one with your login info.

take a pic or scan of your cd-keys and send them to anet support along with what the problem is.

I think you'll find that his NCsoft account was hacked and they changed the password from there. Once any one has access to you NCsoft master account they can change you gw account password without any verification. then simply log in, clear you out and leave you with diddly squat. Yes it did happen to me and it was through NCsoft master account. No items can be returned as they put it has they can not reverse/revert the servers to an earlier time. But hey look on the bright side you still have your account once they decide to unlock it
What really miffs me off is that they try and blame you saying your pasword was not strong enough, you had a keylogger on your pc, you use the same password on multiple websites. they ask you to change your account log in!! good I wonder how we can do that, when they have disabled it (most probably to stop accounts being sold). there is not a limit on how many times you can enter a password on NCsoft, security breach if ever there was one lies with NCsoft itself. nothing to stop a BF(brute force attack) bar a velocity program. No email verification first before the password can be changed. they tell you to be secure, when they cant even keep their own servers secure lol. weel thats my two penneth worth

Just to add, I HAVE contacted A-Net support, was looking for a turn-around time to hear back from them.

Unfortunately after hearing the news about the CD-Keys could be a problem... all my boxes are at my parents and they are out of the country until friday, I'll be able to get them then but looks like I could be in for quite a wait.

Also, if someone had got into my NCSoft account why wouldn't they have changed details there, why would they have just changed my gw password.

Oh, and I also wasn't expecting any help from people here majikmajikmajik, I was just asking people how long I'll have to wait to get my account back.

my account was hacked and blocked. I contacted NCSoft and withinh 3 days it was unblocked.

Just to update, I have my account back now (just over 24 hours turnaround, and with NO verification from my side), apparently it was accessed by a gold seller and upon inspecting my account all they've taken is a couple of dyes, destroyed my z-tokens (dunno why they'd do that) and, most annoyingly for me my Mini Kuunavang (dedicated). They didn't touch anything else... including ecto's and stacks of festival items.
